By Auckland standards, we’re a medium sized club with an enviable culture…. Friendly, Supportive and Inclusive is our mantra. Voted Bowls Auckland Club of the Year in 2021/22, you will find just the right mix of competitiveness and camaraderie.
We don’t care if you don’t want to be a world champion. Most of us play for the fun, but for those who do have a more competitive spirit, we provide an environment where you can thrive and excel.
Membership includes coaching from beginner, through intermediate to high performance. You decide the level you would like to commit to and we’ll help you get there. Use our club bowls until you decide if it’s the game for you, and only then, do you need to spend money on your own set of bowls. No rush it’s up to you.
So how do you start? We offer a three-week Bowls 101 course through Selwyn Community Education starting on the Sunday 5th October; or free Give-it-a-Go rollup afternoons on Sunday 19th October and 15th February or there are Fun Bowls nights starting at 5.30 every Wednesday evening from 1st October. What we can categorically tell you is if the bowls bug bites, you will kick yourself for not having started years earlier. Young or old, male or female, married or single, retired or working, this is the pastime for everyone.
